If you have a health condition or disability which means you have a need to move to a house of a different type, amenity or location to improve your ability to carry out day-to-day tasks, then you will also be eligible to apply for Accessible Housing. You should request this form from any of the Highland Housing Register landlords. On completion of this form, it will be passed to NHS Highland to assess and determine if you need a specific property eg bungalow/ground floor flat or specific features eg level access shower to meet your health needs.
HOUSE EXCHANGE
If you are a tenant of a Registered Social Landlord, you may be interested in a potential house swap. You can advertise on the House Exchange website www.houseexchange.org.uk for a potential mutual exchange, and anyone who may be interested will contact you directly to arrange for you to view each other's properties. If you wish to proceed, you should then both request permission to exchange from your respective landlords.
